What’s better than BMX, skateboarding, and celebrities? Helping a GREAT cause!
The only thing better than Not Your Mother’s Music Festival is the cause itself. Proceeds from Not Your Mother’s Music Festival will go to purchase and remediate a building in town to use as a community center for children and teens to receive educational programming, meal services when school is not in session, and arts and music programming via two amazing non-profit 501c3 organizations, Neighbors United and The Sara James Music Foundation.
Almost half of Gloucester City’s population (about 11,400) are children and 70% of these children receive free and reduced lunch at school. Currently, there is not an organization in town that is responsible for making sure they have access to healthy food when they are not in school. Neighbors United is stepping up to the proverbial plate, to take the necessary steps to ensure that no child goes hungry in Gloucester City. This summer they are teaming up with local churches to offer fun summer programming and food services for children that are in need.
Not Your Mother’s Music Festival was produced to help Neighbors United open a kid friendly community center where children, teens, and families, will have access to not only food services but also for them to have a fun space to have family game nights, teen social events, professional music lessons (provided by The Sara James Music Foundation), and much more. Neighbors United has only one goal at heart, to improve the Gloucester City community as a whole.
